Once again Jereme Rogers and his crew from Selfish Skateboards has made a HUGE donation to A.skate for our Grants for Gear program. We are expecting 900 decks and 500 sets of wheels on Tuesday. Just found this interview with Kerry Getz done by Chris Nieratko on ESPN... I pulled out the last 2 questions:

My last question is, how come Kyle Nicholson didn't get on Habit and he ended up on Selfish Skateboards?
I don't know, man. Skateboarding is a critical thing and Habitat is a tough company to get on and they pick and choose. I don't even want to talk about that ... it sucks.

But we can agree that Kyle rips, right?
I agree that he should be on Habitat. He is one of the best East Coast skateboarders right now and in the entire world. He rips and he just turned 21 and he can outskate almost anybody I've ever seen. The kid is unbelievable. He can skate everything and kill it. I really wish that Habitat would have done something with him and gave him a chance to get out there.

Jereme got his worst score of the season and P Rod refused to skate the last dew tour... the course was just bad. Like Paul said its the equivalent of having Shaq play on a court where the free throw is 10 feet further and the baskets are 5 feet higher! It just doesnt work... hopefully they have it better next year.

Jereme Rogers to host Amateur contest

We posted this a few weeks back but just in case you missed it here it is again.

Jereme Rogers and Order Empire will host the first open invitational Sk8lyfe skateboard am competition in Los Angeles. Rogers is asking amateur skaters from around the world to submit a 30 second video clip as an entry to the competition. Video submissions will be accepted from July 15 - August 6 2010. Six riders will be chosen for the finals and one winner will win contracts with Rogers' Selfish Skateboards and PUSHA brands.

Banana man in Canada

Random post but I thought this was funny...

In our first stop in Quebec city we had about 200 kids and and this guy showed up in a banana suit and he kept it the entire time of the demo... He actually got a session in the banana suit.

Don't forget our next stop in New-Jersey Augsut 12th at the Black Diamond skatepark www.dbsk8.com. We can't garantee that banana man will be there.

I can't beleive how many shows Jereme can do... here's another one he did called The Daily Habit. He's definitely on fire right now doing TV shows everywhere and skating like he never left!!
